Fwd: * MEC election: [announce] 24 hours left to vote!

Dear Friends:

You can do this easy and quick. It is important to keep MEC democratic. You need to have your MEC member and a PIN number that you just get from the website.

The only link you need to follow is this:
it has links to how to vote, who to vote for, all that stuff. It's a pretty easy protest vote that is positive and constructive. Also by you voting they donate $1 to some charity and you get entered to win a bike.

Do it!

Dear friends,

RE: Mountain Equipment Co-op, Board of Director elections > end TOMORROW at noon !

Many of you have expressed interest and/or concern over the past few years about aspects of MEC's direction and governance. I share the concerns stated below and ask you to sincerely consider voting NO on Special Resolution #1. I do not feel it is either democratic, or in the best interests of MEC as a member-owned and operated co-operative. It fundamentally limits member participation in one of the areas in which it really matters.

Please VOTE !

WIth thanks for your time and attention,
MEC member since 1996 and former employee (2008-2012)

Good day, MEC Member-owners:

We've got a little over 24 hours left to vote and get others to vote to defeat Special Resolution #1.

Handy voting tips have been added to the site:

We need everyone to take a few minutes in the next few hours to help stop Special Resolution #1 from passing.

Please share this with other member-owners and ask them to vote.

You can also share these images (just click on "retweet" on twitter or copy the url and paste it into your status on facebook)

And please invite your friends to this facebook event:

Finally, if it helps you get fired up, you can read comments from folks who signed the open letter:
