Fall Bike to Work Week
Monday, October 29 to Friday, November 2

Employees who cycle to work are healthier, more productive, take fewer
sick days and are less likely to change jobs. Cycling to work is cost
efficient for both employees and employers, reduces the need for
workplace (car) parking and allows employees to reduce their carbon
footprint. And it's fun!

The HUB, Your Cycling Connection, celebrates and supports fall cycling
with commuter stations featuring free coffee, food, and prizes. You're
about to discover the most fun you can have on your daily commute! HUB
memberships come with a free gift during Fall Bike to Work Week!

The key is having the right gear. More great tips for cycling in the
fall and winter at: http://www.biketoworkmetrovan.ca/resources/. And
commuter station locations are here:

Fwd: Bike protest of Enbridge Pipeline

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Emma Avery

Join UBCC350 on Wednesday, Oct. 24 for Defend Our Climate - a march to Christy Clark's office to demand that she reject the proposed Enbridge and Kinder-Morgan tarsands pipelines and oil tankers!!

At 10:30, meet on the MacInnes field to bike or bus to Almond Park, on 12th and Alma.
From there, we will rally and march together to Christy Clark's office on West 4th and Alma with a petition, and lots of chanting.
Join others from across the province to take a stand at MLA offices to take a stand for our coast and climate!

We are looking for enthusiastic bikers to join in with the bike portion of the event. Bring your bikes and your spirit! Freak bikes are a bonus - we want to draw a lot of attention. If you have experience leading groups of bikers and would like to volunteer as one of the bike leaders, please email emmers_170@AT@hotmail.com.

Hope to see you all there!

The UBCC350 team.
