It's been one Crazy Year!

The stupid Burrard St Bridge:

We need to stop the plans for another highway in East Van:

And in West Van too:

They're already doing the RAV.

All this Olympic Nonsense is worth scrutiny:

There were some pretty cool achievements this year, June's Car-free Commercial Drive Festival was amazing even if the City organised first World Car Free Day was only lukewarm
[thoughawesome concept].

Amazing street hockey too:

Carmen Mills Remembering CM over the years:

NYC CM has been exciting/scary lately:

"It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle."

- Ernest Hemingway, By-Line

Have a free wheelin' New Year!

    Hi All,

50 Critical Massers took to the streets on Friday night! Thanks go to Donald for the spontaneous Science World gazebo BBQ and drink at the conclusion of the ride.

There's an unconfirmed rumor that there's a bike friendly New Years Eve party tonight (December 31) at Our Community Bikes (3283 Main Street at 17th Avenue).

    Happy New Year's Eve everyone!
